Politeness vs. Protection- Safety Tips
for Children (ages 7-12)
We teach our children to have good manners, respect
adults and follow the rules. But sometimes, we forget to teach our
children how to determine when these practices should be used and when it is
time to drop the politeness and focus on protection.
In this class, learn about self-defense of the mind.
It is important that our children know what to do in an emergency, when it’s
okay to speak out against issues, how to say “NO” and understand the tricks and
temptations predators use to entice children into unsafe situations.
Children will learn not only by listening to the program, but also by the use of
cartoon examples and interactive drawing and discussion. Mrs. Baumer
background as a Manner’s and Etiquette instructor, and a Self-Defense instructor
combines her knowledge to keep children, and parents aware.
Parents are welcome and encouraged to stay for the
program, but are not required to.
